THINK OF THOSE IN NEED DURING THIS FESTIVE SEASON

When shopping for Christmas gifts this season, please keep Malawians in Texas Organization (MITO) and especially the Timalechi Water Project in mind. There may be people on your list who might truly appreciate having a donation to the Timalechi Water Project (Click here to donate) made in their name, rather than receiving a tangible gift. This is a perfect option for people who “have everything” or whose lives have been impacted in some way by trying to find ways of breaking the cycle of poverty to vulnerable child populations in sub-Saharan Africa which MITO fights against every day. Making a donation to MITO’s Timalechi Water Project is a great way to show friends, family members and co-workers that you are thinking about them during the holiday season, as well as sending a powerful message that you are mindful of the needs in your community and respectful of their interests, remember “it takes a village to raise a child”. Right now our chairwoman Ms Agnes Nkhata has left luxuries of electricity, running water and everything we take for granted and is on the ground at Timalechi with 3 US volunteers (3 more on their way in weeks) who donated their time and resources during this Christmas season for the needy. Whether you make a donation instead of purchasing a traditional gift or as an add-on , or decide to sign up for our 2017 volunteer mission by emailing malawiansintexas@gmail.com this will be truly a thoughtful opportunity to spread a message of cheer and charitable giving during the Christmas.
